The Brief:

Transform NISSIN into a Mega Snack Brand Advanced settings.

Monde Nissin in the Philippines engaged Square44. The task was to help transform the brand into a mega snack brand in the space it operates in. How to revamp brand identity, reimagine brand logo design & refresh, modernize and update the brand’s packaging design to fall in line behind that objective.
In close collaboration with the brand team we explored how to transform Nissin into the next mega snack brand.

As part of pack design we deeply looked into semiotics and typical category language. A stronger emphasis on brand logo impact, color contrast and appetizing product visuals that maximize impulse purchase resulted in a fresh new look.

To support brand extensions, new product launches and innovations and other additions to the portfolio the team wanted to have a stronger family feeling across products within the folio.
Building on the distinctiveness of the new brand logo we created templates that leveraged the “happy snackin” smile and adapted design for several key ranges within the folio.
