Monde Nissin in the Philippines engaged Square44 to revamp their brand identity inclusive  logo & packaging design as well as overall brand modernization.

In close collaboration with the brand team we explored how to transform Nissin into the next mega snack brand.

Brand Logo Redesign

A fresh new design of the Nissin brand logo enhances brand visibility on pack by avoiding red on red logo colors. The fresh white brand logo combines easily with various colorful snack pack backgrounds and the simplified, cleaner look adds to shelf impact.

A unique animated version of the brand logo allow a thematic use across a range of branded communication from CSR activities to promotional campaigns, transforming Nissin into a brand with enhanced meaning and relevance.

Packaging Design

As part of pack design we deeply looked into semiotics and typical category language. A stronger emphasis on brand logo impact, color contrast and appetizing product visuals that maximize impulse purchase resulted in a fresh new look.

Portfolio Architecture for a more harmonized family look

To support brand extensions, new product launches and innovations and other additions to the portfolio the team wanted to have a stronger family feeling across products within the folio.

Building on the distinctiveness of the new brand logo we created templates that leveraged the “happy snackin” smile and adapted design for several key ranges within the folio.
